A collection of Dickens’ novels, including his letters. For 88 cents???

📒 by Sosanni V2 min read

Seriously?????

.88 cents for a collection of Dickens’ novels plus his letters?

Dickens’ novels – preferably a good collection of his novels, is a must-have for any library.

I’m talking about creating a rich digital library today.

Most of our digital collections are usually overrun with good contemporary reads mixed in with junk reads and “What made me buy this” reads.

The amazing collectables somehow manage to be seen on the shelves and are hardly found in our digital stash.

No, darlings, trust me…it’s time to upgrade and get those amazing classics on your reading screen.

And if you tend to buy paperbacks to tsundoku, there is nothing wrong with a digital stack piling up. Less dust to worry about. At that price? And quality reads?

Why Dickens?

The plots unfold in foggy, smoggy Victorian England – amid social struggles and with the class war laced into the plots of the perfect classics for indulgent, cocoony reading.

Soapy plots and graphic characters – always a romance, a pickpocket, a pawnbroker, an aristocrat, and a crafty merchant to spice up the plot.

But that was the period – that was Victorian England. One big mosaic of the privileged alongside the struggling, underprivileged, and marginalized groups.

Dickens’ letters are gems. They reflect his struggles, views, and his attempts to air the dirty social laundry of the times.

So yes it’s a rare view.

Grab this collection.

Yup, it’s on Amazon.

Sure, I’m an Amazon affiliate, but aren’t we all????…

But at 88 cents, trust me, this isn’t about the commission, darlings; it is about me doing my ‘thing’.

My Thing

Sharing any must-have I come across.

Totally Booked posts on Erratica are meant to point out great books – be it your tsundoku material or imminent must-reads.

Like I mentioned before, it’s not the commission sweets – I write my own novels and create my own art, which I sell. But who says no to coffee money, lol?

At that price, grab it for your computer, tablet, or Kindle – without a second thought.

Snatch the Dickens Collection before the price fixes.

    a common thread.

I came across two fascinating posts on Facebook about two books that come from very different worlds. They both have a very interesting common thread, however. That ‘ennui’…the inability of the protagonist to ‘function’ as an individual. It feels as if being a privileged member of society – having it all, having everything ‘done’, having […]
